Gabby Mata- Founder and Creative
Meet Gabby, she’s the OG creator and mind behind San Antonio LoveList. She started the account back in 2017 with hopes that she could put this on her resume and get hired. Instead it grew at an exponential rate and is now one of the best resources in San Antonio for food, nightlife and entertainment.
Apart from the ‘gram- Gabby loves spending time with Quebec, her chiweenie, listening to music and cooking. She’s a huge advocate of bending the rules, laughing out loud until she cries and sitting outside (like the Europeans do it). Her favorite foods are cheese, cheeseburgers and pizza. And she’s an alum of UTSA.
Faith Roberts- Intern
Faith is born and raised in San Antonio and loves tacos any time of day and drink of choice will always be a lime margarita with salt. She is a recent Public Relations graduate from Texas Tech University and loves working on digital graphics, video editing, and all things content creation. On her nerdier side, she loves learning about analytics and how to grow a brand. Faith is excited to showcase her creativity on SA Love List!
Meet Christopher! He was raised in the Rio Grande Valley until he realized he didn’t feel like it was his true home. After taking a chance on applying to The University of Texas at San Antonio, he got accepted and moved immediately. He is a current student at UTSA majoring in Communication while concentrating on Digital Communication. One interesting fact about Christopher is that he is a coffee-fanatic! From iced coffee to lattes, he is the person to go to when you want to try something new! Christopher’s big goal in life is to have his own talk show. He wants to use his social skills to gain a following and use his status in the community in order to give back to those less fortunate. Christopher is excited to bring his love for coffee, fashion, and exploring to SA Love List!
Hi guys! My name is Maria Marrufo and I am a junior at UIW, majoring in Communication Arts with a concentration in Media Studies and minoring in Art. I am originally from Queretaro, Mexico, but have lived in San Antonio for ten years. I love drawing, painting, music, taking pictures and anything Disney. I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as my maltipoo dog, Zoey, we love to go on long walks together. I am so excited to start this internship and meet y’all!
Mimi Bonilla- Spanish Translator
Mimi is a badass. After completing a Masters of Science in Mental Health and working as a Paralegal for five years as an official translator for legal proceedings, she decided to take her passion for all things San Antonio, traveling and writing elsewhere. As funny as life is, a few months of unemployment landed her as Marketing Director of a new restaurant at the time. This allowed all of her creativity to explode! And it is thanks to this restaurant that she met Gabby and it was a no-brainer to collaborate in her passion. The one thing she loves more than food and her Maltese, Henry is the need for speed. She’s crazy about Formula 1 racing and spends all her free time feeding this passion (aka fighting with her boyfriend about how much Ferrari sucks and McLaren is king). You will likely find her working at the restaurant 24/7 glued to her computer and/or phone.
Kayla is a true Texan, born and raised in San Antonio and currently a sophomore at UTSA. When she’s is not busy cramming for exams, you can find her at a Spurs game or stuffing her face with sushi. A gym rat and a foodie, she is always looking for the coolest places to break a sweat and the yummiest dishes to cook. Kayla is very excited for this opportunity and hopes to learn and grow here with San Antonio Love List
